'How Can You(th) Prevent it?' (Intercâmbio Erasmus+) 💯

“Como primeira experiência num intercâmbio, superou as minhas expectativas. As relações que foram criadas com a grande maioria do grupo foram intensas e muito enriquecedoras.

Perceber os pontos comuns de cada país e as diferenças, contribuíram em muito para o meu desenvolvimento pessoal e futuro profissional.

A manutenção do bem estar de grupo pela entidade promotora (Sê Mais Sê Melhor) foi fundamental!

Ainda que o tema (Violência no Namoro) em questão não me fosse estranho, tive a oportunidade incrível de poder ver as diferenças culturais, as conquistas (ex.: Legislação, reposta social, etc.), o que falta conquistar e os pontos comuns. Isto tudo junto, alimenta a importância e relevância desta temática para a disseminação de boas práticas, consciência e sensibilização.

Aprendi imenso com esta experiência, essencialmente, novas dinâmicas para abordar o tópico violência no namoro, respeitar e gerir as diferenças culturais, cumprir horários para o bom funcionamento dos planos é essencial, e a divertir-me enquanto exploramos temas tão sensíveis.”

“As a first experience in an exchange, it exceeded my expectations. The relationships that were created with the vast majority of the group were intense and very enriching.

Realizing the common points of each country and the differences as well contributed a lot to my personal development and professional future.

The maintenance of the group's well-being by the promoter entity (Sê Mais Sê Melhor) was fundamental!

Although the subject (Dating Violence) in question was not unfamiliar to me, I had the incredible opportunity to be able to see the cultural differences, the achievements (e.g. legislation, social response, etc.), what is yet to conquer, and the common issues. All this together feeds the importance and relevance of this theme for the dissemination of good practices, awareness and sensitization.

I’ve learned a lot from this experience, essentially, new dynamics to approach the topic of dating violence, respecting and managing cultural differences, keeping schedules for the good functioning of plans is essential, and having fun while exploring such sensitive topics.”

"Participar no Erasmus foi uma experiência fantástica!! Conheci o mundo sem ter de sair do meu próprio país; conheci pessoas maravilhosas das quais hei de me lembrar para a vida. Estas que partilharam comigo as suas culturas sem qualquer barreira e com muito carinho, ao mesmo tempo que estavam receptíveis a conhecer a minha.

Apesar de serem pessoas de origens diferentes, através da discussão de temas à volta do principal, “Violência no Namoro”, consegui ver que temos muitos aspetos em comum tal como o reconhecimento da urgência da ação e educação do povo em torno deste tema para que realmente sejam tomadas ações que possam fazer a diferença. Foi refrescante ver que a juventude se importa e cada vez mais se educa sobre este tema.

Durante aqueles 10 dias consegui reconhecer vários estereótipos que até então não tinha reparado e reconhecido que tinha interiorizado tais como certos papéis sociais que tendem a ser associados a um certo géneros, o que dificulta o reconhecimento deste mesmo papel num outro género.

Terminei este intercâmbio com vontade de fazer mais e com muitas saudades dos momentos vividos com estes meus amigos. No futuro espero voltar a participar neste tipo de projetos!"

"Participating in Erasmus was an amazing experience!!! I got to know the world without having to leave my own country; I met wonderful people that I will remember for life. They shared their cultures with me without any barriers and with a lot of affection, and at the same time they were open to meeting mine.

Although they are people from different backgrounds, through the discussion of themes around the main one, "Dating Violence", I could see that we have many aspects in common such as recognizing the urgency of action and education of the people around this issue to really take actions that can make a difference. It was refreshing to see that youth care and are increasingly educating themselves about this issue.

During those 10 days I was able to recognize several stereotypes that until then I had not noticed and recognized that I had internalized such as certain social roles that tend to be associated with a certain gender, which makes it difficult to recognize this same role in another gender.

I finished this exchange with the desire to do more and with much nostalgia for the moments lived with these friends of mine. In the future I hope to participate in this type of project again!"

“ Como primeira experiência de intercâmbio que abrangesse tantas nacionalidades e culturas tão distintas, posso dizer que foi bastante surpreendente e enriquecedora. O comprometimento do grupo para com o tema, horário, os planos a serem seguidos e a troca que se teve foi muito boa, além do fato de ter sido algo ao mesmo tempo divertido e descontraído, porém que abordasse temas de caráter sensíveis.

O planejamento e coordenação da Sé Mais foi “on point” tentando sempre ajudar e atender a necessidades e direitos de todos antes e durante todo o intercâmbio, de modo que a experiência de todos fosse a melhor possível, e foi!

Adorei mesmo participar desse evento, tive de toda certeza um crescimento pessoal e profissional mesmo grande, onde tive a oportunidade da troca de pontos em comuns e diferenças que jamais teria em outro contexto, além de faze-los abrir um pouco a mente e pensar de uma forma diferente e segundo eles, fez todo sentido. Realmente foi muito gratificante e enriquecedor. Nos alerta mais ainda da importância daquilo que fazemos ou deixamos de fazer em contexto doméstico, familiar, social. Levarei sempre comigo essa experiência, principalmente para sensibilizar, respeitar as diferenças e conscientizar. Muito obrigada pela a oportunidade!! “

“As the first experience of an exchange that gathered so many different nationalities and cultures, I can say that it was very surprising and enriching. The group's commitment to the theme, the schedule, the plans to be followed, and the exchange that was had was very good, besides the fact that it was fun and relaxed but at the same time approached sensitive issues.

The planning and coordination of Sê Mais was "on point", always trying to help and meet the needs and rights of everyone before and during the whole exchange, so that everyone's experience was the best possible, and it was!

I really loved participating in this event, I certainly had a great personal and professional growth, where I had the opportunity to exchange points in common and differences that I would never have in another context, besides making them open their minds and think in a different way, and according to them, it made perfect sense. It was really very rewarding and enriching. It alerts us even more to the importance of what we do or fail to do in the domestic, family, and social contexts. I will always take this experience with me, especially to sensitize, respect differences, and raise awareness. Thank you very much for the opportunity! "

Quando fui convidado para participar desse youth exchange eu estava um pouco cético. Não sabia o que esperar desse projeto. Porém, quando esse teve início, todas as minhas inseguranças e dúvidas se provaram erradas. Posso dizer tranquilamente que foi uma das melhores experiências da minha vida. Todas as conexões que tive com participantes de outros países e culturas, e todas as aprendizagens que tive sobre violência no namoro me ajudaram a ser uma pessoa melhor, tanto na vida pessoal quanto profissional. Levarei essa experiência e todas as amizades que fiz durante esse período para o resto da minha vida.

When I was invited to participate in this youth exchange I was a bit skeptical. I did not know what to expect from this project. However, when it started, all my insecurities and doubts were proved wrong. I can safely say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. All the connections I had with participants from other countries and cultures, and all the learning I had about dating violence helped me to be a better person, both in my personal and professional life. I will carry this experience and all the friendships I made during this period for the rest of my life.

Eu gostei muito de participar nesta atividade. Fiz muitas atividades e conheci muitos jovens de outros sítios. Agora sei um pouco mais de inglês e sobre o género e a violência.
